Your tutor
I was born and raised in Spain, so Spanish is my first language. I've studied the new AQA (8692) and Edexcel (1SP0) GCSE specifications, sat every paper myself, and teach to the official mark schemes.
I explain grammar in plain English, using the same terms your child hears at school, and I spend a lot of each lesson on what most students practise least: speaking.
Both. In the free assessment I'll ask which board your child's school uses and tailor every lesson to it.
Yes. Students on the borderline between tiers are a big part of what I do. We work on the skills that decide the tier and aim for the best realistic grade.
For languages, it works very well: we share the exam materials on screen, and speaking practice is just as effective by video.
Yes. The monthly programmes give a fixed weekly slot, and the flexible hours let you book lessons whenever they suit you.
Autumn of Year 11 gives time for steady weekly progress before the summer exams. Year 10 is even better. Shorter packs exist for spring.
No honest tutor can. What I do guarantee is a clear starting point, regular mocks, and reports so you can see progress.
Five quick questions, then I'll contact you to arrange a time. The written report arrives within 24 hours of the session.
